College of Engineering offers various programs in engineering at the diploma, bachelors and master level with the goal on ensuring practicality of education. The objective remains to ensure that its graduate is well trained in engineering principles to meet and match the real-world requirements. The college offers programs in electrical, chemical, architectural and computer engineering.

The Architectural Engineering program is a 150-credit-hour program distributed over four and half academic years. The program promotes the implementation of the latest advances in construction, information and visualization technologies which respond to the needs of the industry. The curriculum focuses on buildings’ construction and its application in buildings’ structure design and with a comprehensive knowledge in mechanical and electrical building’s systems.

سيتمكن الطلبة المتخرجون من برنامج الهندسة المعمارية من:

Entry Standards

Undergraduate Admission Requirements

For admission to the undergraduate program, a student must have:

  • A General Education Certificate or its equivalent and
  • Passed the Foundation Program (FP) from DU or any other Higher Education Institute (HEI) recognized by the Ministry of Higher Education, Scientific Research, and Innovation (MoHERI) OR Be exempted from FP English, Mathematics and Information Technology (IT) courses based on placement tests conducted by FP.
  • Based on the results of the English, Mathematics, and IT placement tests, students who need remedial work based on placement test results, will join the FP, where three levels of English and two levels of Mathematics courses, as well as IT courses, must be successfully completed with a minimum grade of 50 to proceed to the first year of the Bachelor program.
  • FP course exemption criterion minimum scores are as follows:
  • 1) English:
    • IELTS Band – 5
    • TOEFL – 500
    • CEPT – 50
  • 2) Mathematics:
    • Moodle-based Math Placement Test – 60
  • 3) Information Technology:
    • Moodle-based IT Placement Test – 70
    • International (English) IC3 certificate

شروط القبول في بكالوريوس الهندسة المعمارية محددة في كتالوج الجامعة قسم كلية الهندسة صفحة رقم 214. بالنسبة للبرنامج التأسيسي، يجب على الطالب الحصول على معدل 70% على الأقل في اللغة الإنكليزية و الرياضيات و تكنولوجيا المعلومات.

متطلبات التخرج

To graduate with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Architectural Engineering, students must satisfactorily complete 150 credits with an overall minimum average of 70%, and a cumulative average of 70% in the major courses.
