The Interior Architecture Engineering (INTA) Program, established in 2005, was developed to address the growing demand for qualified professionals in interior architecture engineering across industrial, governmental, and service sectors. It also aims to benefit the community by offering students from various cities and regions within Dhofar University access to high-quality engineering education.<\/p>\n

The Interior Architecture Engineering Program builds a solid foundation in designing, analyzing, and applying interior architecture systems. The curriculum includes key areas such as spatial planning, lighting design, materials and finishes, furniture design, building codes and accessibility, and digital representation, blending theoretical principles with practical skills through labs, projects, and industry-focused training.<\/p>\n

The program prioritizes professional practice and real-world relevance. Students gain hands-on experience via internships in design firms and engineering organizations, including an eight-week field training that enhances their professional readiness and links academic learning with practical design applications.<\/p>\n

Relevantly tailored to current industry and societal needs, the program supports sectors like residential and commercial interior design, workplace ergonomics, sustainable interiors, and heritage conservation. It prepares graduates for roles in interior architecture consulting, spatial design, project coordination, and human-centered design, as well as research and further education.<\/p>\n

For admission to the program, a student must have:<\/p>\n

  1. A General Education Diploma (or its equivalent), and<\/li>\n
  2. Passed the Foundation Program (FP) at Dhofar University (DU) or any other Higher Education Institution (HEI) recognized by the Ministry of Education.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>

    To graduate with a Bachelor of Science degree in Interior Architecture Engineering, students must complete the required credit hours for the program and achieve a minimum cumulative average of 65%.
    \nIn addition, students are required to complete a period of practical training through an eight-week internship. This requirement ensures that students gain relevant hands-on experience in industrial settings.
    \nStudents must also successfully complete a final-year project, which integrates the knowledge and skills acquired throughout the program and demonstrates their ability to solve engineering problems independently.<\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>
