The Diploma in Civil Engineering, offered at Dhofar University since 2010, is a practice-oriented program that provides students with a strong foundation in civil engineering knowledge, technical skills, and applied problem-solving. The program focuses on the planning, construction, operation, and maintenance of infrastructure and the built environment, with emphasis on structural systems, construction materials, surveying, transportation, and basic infrastructure engineering. Through a balanced combination of classroom learning, laboratory work, and technical applications, the program prepares students to support engineering and construction activities in both the public and private sectors. It also develops the analytical, communication, and workplace skills needed for professional practice. Graduates are prepared for entry-level roles in construction, site supervision, surveying, materials testing, technical support, and related infrastructure fields, while also having the opportunity to continue toward the Bachelor\u2019s degree in Civil Engineering. For admission to the program, a student must have:<\/p>\n

  1. A General Education Diploma (or its equivalent), including Pure Mathematics and at least two of the following subjects: Physics, Chemistry, or Biology, and<\/li>\n
  2. Passed the Foundation Program (FP) at Dhofar University (DU) or any other Higher Education Institution (HEI) recognized by the Ministry of Education.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>

    To graduate with a Diploma in Civil Engineering, students must complete the required credit hours for the program and achieve a minimum cumulative average of 65%.<\/p>\n
